Slow Down to Level up Fast

The key to abundance in life is our physical and mental state. How we show up and handle our daily moments can either create more of, or reduce the quality of our lives. When we are present and our nervous system is rested, we become magnets for abundance.

One of the biggest problems we can face today is that our schedules are full, we have many responsibilities, and as a result, we become rushed, and stressed.

It is absolutely essential to take some time to slow down and relax. The more we slow down, the easier life gets to be, and the easier we can have the results we really want. And I’ve some good news for you: slowing down is within our reach, no matter who you are, and where you come from.

Slowing down can take place in the very way we approach our everyday activities. We just need get out of our own way. If you are willing to  make rest a necessary priority and truly allow yourself to relax, you’re on the road to more peace and abundance.

Today, I’ll be sharing 5 convenient tips to help bring rest and relaxation into your life, no matter what is happening in your life. The more you can bring this rested state to wherever you’re at, the more you raise the quality and peace in your life.

Tip #1: Embrace Waiting

Whether you’re waiting in line in traffic, or waiting for a page to load on the internet, embrace the time you spend waiting. Face the uncomfortable feelings that arise-this is crucial to healing.

While initially seeming inconvenient, these moments are necessary reminders to slow down and focus on being present.

Practice feeling every sensation in your body; sit with it, and focus on it. Close your eyes and feel every bit of emotion. What’s going on inside? Perhaps, there is pent-up tension lingering.

Your intuition and your body will process all emotions taking place.

The feelings of impatience and tension are only a sign that your nervous system is overstimulated; paying attention to these feelings is crucial to shifting your state.

Over-stimulation is a symptom of being in survival mode. Here; creativity cannot thrive; therefore opportunities are blocked.

So, the very first step when experiencing impatience is to embrace the blessing in disguise. Do not distract yourself with short-term gratification (such as, more stimulation like scrolling, snacking, or reacting emotionally), but rather, face it.

Tip #2: Slower Movements

Slow down time, by slowing down your actions; this will naturally calm the nervous system.

When in survival mode (where creativity and opportunities are blocked), we tend to move quick and rushed. In that state, the body is more resistant to feeling pleasure. This puts us on edge and increases feelings of stress. In addition, it leads to unhealthy and addictive patterns. Stop them in their tracks!

A calm nervous system, on the other hand, is sensitive to pleasure and stimulation. Higher-quality feelings and emotions lead to higher-quality experiences.

Talk slower, walk slower, serenely do things, whenever you feel stress building up—how you act will eventually influence and change how you feel. Close your eyes, and enjoy the present moment; really focus on activating all 5 senses.

Re-sensitizing the body increases the quality of every interaction; you become much more attractive, creative, and respond to life much more effectively.

Tip #3: The Extra Steps are Worth It.

Extra steps set up a smooth journey. This opens up more energy that can be used for greater purposes.

Don’t shy away from the extra efforts that can increase the ease and quality of your day-to-day actions.

Rushing gives an illusion of moving faster or getting more done– when in reality, it only drains us. Rushing communicates stress and aggravation to the body.

What benefit does it really provide us? The quality is lacking, you can’t be present, and chances are you’ll have to revisit to fix the mistakes that result.

Take the extra steps to increase the quality of everything important to you, including the small things.

Cleaning up your workstation to create a calm environment leads to more ease in the way you work.

Taking the time to fix your hygiene before heading to the grocery store makes you feel more pleasant on your trip. This inspires wiser financial decisions and healthier grocery options.

Taking a longer time to review a project at work to focus on the details results in a quality job done.

Slowing down can saves more energy for you in the long run. It also creates more energy; when we feel good, we can take on more.

Be mindful of the way you do things. Try to find ways to make your journey feel better–over getting “more” done. How we feel determines how we will show up —and therefore the opportunities we attract.

Always remember that there is a chain effect on everything that you do.

What are some ways you can save energy, create more ease, and flow with life? How can you feel accomplished in the best way possible before you go to sleep?

Tip #4: Wait to Respond

The next time you get a notification, intentionally wait to respond. This applies to phone or social media notifications and any other matter requiring your attention.

Take your time responding. Be intentional about your responses. Waiting reminds your body to slow down and decide if the matter is aligned with where you are heading, and to decide what gets priority from you.

Don’t let the day run you; you are in control of how your time is spent, and how your time is spent ultimately determines the quality of your life.

Also, this helps to protect your energy and save it to show up at your best for the tasks that matter the most to you.

In addition, it builds self-trust. By focusing on what you set your mind to, and not allowing distractions to lure you away, you build a sense of safety within your body, knowing that what you set your mind to, will always happen.

Increased self-trust is the key to confidence! A confident version of you is an absolute magnet for opportunities! You get how this goes.

By waiting to respond, and focusing on less, you reduce burnout. You then have more energy to pour into your passions or to show up fully with loved ones.

It is okay to take your time. It’s good to take your time!

Keep your vision at the forefront of your heart, and the next time a distraction pops up, capture it, save it for later. Route your focus back to your vision.

Tip #5: Allow Room for Uncertainty, Imperfection, and Pending status

You don’t have to have everything figured out, responded to, or resolved at all times. There will always be pending requests waiting for you.

Remember this: the more you release control, the more control you actually have. Life is forever unpredictable and filled with challenges.

Uncertainty and indecision are great opportunities that enable you to become more fluid with life.

Flow is true freedom; it is rooted to your highest energy and creativity. Here, you are flexible and adaptable, two states in which you can make just about anything life throws at you, work. Making anything you touch, turn into gold.

The clarity you are looking for will always be revealed in time. Everything starts falling into place; the full picture reveals itself as you move forward.

Give time for solutions to marinate. They can wait, most of the time. Sometimes, the longer you wait, the more effectively you can respond.

If you feel uneasy about pending tasks, or even big decisions causing you stress, give attention to the emotions that arise. Face them, and acknowledge them.

Close your eyes, feel, and physically embrace your tension. This is the first step to changing direction. Allow yourself to process everything going on. Pray about it, ask God for wisdom and guidance, then leave your trust in him.

Then, re-route your focus. Remind yourself; that clarity will always be revealed. Clarity is the other side of the same coin; uncertainty. One cannot exist without the other.

Continue embracing, and re-directing focus to that which you currently have control over; moving and taking action speeds up the process.

Uncertainty is a good thing- it’s only a sign of growth and change that will improve your life. It is only a reminder to let go, and flow with life.

Time Affirmations

Last, you can immediately shift your body into a relaxed and peaceful state through affirmations.

Remember that time is abundant. In addition, we all have the same 24 hours in a day. What matters most is the quality of how we spend them.

Practice these affirmations intentionally; feel them as you say them; these phrases will help you to slow down and become more present:

“Time is infinite; I get to take my time and improve the quality of my life”

“I get to take my time; taking my time eases the flow of my life and speeds up my progress”

“I am planting seeds as I slow down. The more seeds I plant, the more abundant my life becomes”

“I deserve to live a high-quality life”

I wish you a happy and peaceful day. Remember, there is never a reason to rush and skimp out. Life’s greatest treasures are in the present moment. You can choose to create as much beauty as you’d like! Once you relax, things start to ease up and the quality of your life increases.
